This 30-hour Yin Teacher Training, led by Blake Mason and assisted by Alli Trammell has been created for both yoga students and teachers to help develop an understanding of yin yoga and how it complements the more active yang styles of yoga and other physical activities. Upon completion of this training students will receive 30 hours of continuing education units toward Yoga Alliance.
The course outline includes:
-Background and definition of Yin Yoga
-Postures including the variations, modifications and the use of props
-Intelligent sequencing that makes sense in the body
-Gentle hands on assists
-Holding Space as a yin teacher
Students will learn about the background and practice of yin yoga. Students will examine some of the most common yin yoga postures in detail to understand the physical benefits, variations and modifications of the postures. The training will also cover how to sequence a yin class intelligently and with purpose. The training will benefit students seeking to further develop a home or studio practice, and will help teachers who wish to add yin yoga teaching to their repertoire.
