Join Dr. Marla for a relaxing and deeply restorative evening to renew body, mind, & spirit. In this workshop you will be led through a mindful self-care practice to replenish and relax the nervous system. Using principles of neuroscience, mindfulness, and restorative yoga; you will be guided through a calming practice.
The evening will include restorative yoga poses to relax and release tension. Several of the restorative poses will include essential oils to aid in the relaxation. The sacred sound of Tibetan sound bowls will gently calm the body and mind. The evening will end with the deep conscious relaxation of Yoga Nidra meditation.
Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, and dress comfortably. No yoga or meditation experience is necessary.
Dr. Marla McMahon is a clinical psychologist, yoga and mindfulness teacher. In addition to completing a 200-hour hatha yoga training (2013), Dr. Marla has received additional training in iRest yoga nidra, yin yoga, restorative yoga, mindfulness meditation and sound healing. She is a certified restorative yoga teacher and mindfulness based stress and cognitive therapy instructor
