Hands-On Assistant Training
Upcoming: June 25-27, 2026
Our Hands-On Assisting Program is an invitation to deepen your understanding of touch, presence, and connection within the yoga practice.
Led by Blake Mason & Amy Da Silva, this training explores assisting as both a skill and an art form, grounded in anatomical awareness, intuitive connection, and deep respect for each student’s individual experience.
If you’ve ever felt the magic of a hands-on assist, the way a subtle touch can create clarity, ease, grounding, or expansion, you already understand the heart of this practice. This program is about learning how to offer that same experience to others, with intention, skill, and care.
Hands-on assists can create powerful moments of support, safety, and transformation when offered with clarity and consent. You’ll learn how to give thoughtful, appropriate assists that meet students where they are without disrupting their natural experience.
We explore a wide range of postures and styles, including how to gently support alignment, help deepen shapes, and provide steady grounding contact. You’ll also build confidence in reading bodies, understanding foundational alignment, and using touch as an extension of your teaching and presence.
This training is open to teachers and students of all levels, whether you are brand new to assisting or looking to refine your skills. No prior experience is required, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll leave with greater confidence, deeper awareness, and a more embodied understanding of how to support others with care, sensitivity, and presence.
