The research and study of yoga for mental health has been found to be a beneficial mode to increase mood and mental wellness. Yoga practices including asana (poses), meditation and breathwork have been found to be beneficial and promote mental health in areas of: anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, sleep, and well-being.
Each workshop evening will be tailored to the mental health issue and include: a short discussion, guided meditation, pranayama/breathwork, yoga flow, & sound healing.
Workshop 2 - Aging in Womanhood-Perimenopause & Menopause Years w/Dr. Marla & Cate
Friday, May 17th | 6:30-8pm | Cost: $40
The focus of the evening will be yoga for the midlife years for changing bodies. The evening will include slow flow, restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, soulful discussion, & a sound meditation.
Workshop 3 - Burnout, Low Energy & Depressed Mood w/Dr. Marla & Dana
Friday, June 21st | 6:30-8pm | Cost: $40
Using tools to energize the body; the evening will include vinyasa yoga flow, breathwork, & meditation tailored for energizing the mood.
The evening will also include a sound meditation to balance the chakras.
Workshop 4 - Addictions, Yoga & Mindfulness w/Dr. Marla & Blake
Friday, July 26th | 6:30-8pm | Cost: $40
Addictions come in many forms and yoga provides so many beneficial tools to help.
The evening will include a vinyasa yoga flow as well as an introduction to mindfulness, breathwork, & meditation tailored for addictions.
